I read in the book about Hooijkaas; that business information about the Hooijkaas company in particular is missing, important questions remain unanswered. An example of this concerns the fact that certain activities were outsourced to other workshops and that this was common practice. Guessing maybe there was a partnership between Hooijkaas factory and Zaanlandse Zilversmederijen n.v./b.v., registered in Haarlem & Amsterdam, from 1920-1990. Zaanlandse Zilversmederijen known for its 'Old Dutch' style silverware. Responsibility marks are sometimes lent out and perhaps the reason we see here the responsibility mark of Hooijkaas in combination with the assay office mark Amsterdam.
