Very limited info on base of box, I feel Hanau,
Can anything be worked out from this limited info?

Believe to recognize the German crescent moon and (vague) crown.

Many thanks for your comments on both sections re marks on my box.

I agree Hanau box, although ,if crescent and crown mark (i feel you are correct) as we know Hanau makers marks different.
A bit strange not Hanau marks if Hanau box. Only German marks. (maybe same thing) Hanau still German.

I have seen another German box ,different design that also has the large Number one (1)like my box.
is this classed as makers mark ? do we know who used it? will post image later.

same marks as my box,on another box,with large no 1,is not pattern number as different shaped box.
any ideas what company used this large 1 in there mark?
