Identifying an italian hallmark and possibly dating

Hello everybody

I need your help in dating a ring in my possession. The hallmark is Italian and it is "22 NO", I attach photos for clarity. Next to the mark is the 925 law wording and 925 also appears inside the ring. What does the double presence of 925 mean? Also, how come there is no star next to the manufacturer/dealer identification mark ? Thank you very much for any response.

Thank you very much for your response. This adds some mystery in that if the hallmark was registered in 1971, under the new system, how come the hallmark of the previous system is on the ring? From what I know, the tools were being replaced with the tools updated to the current standard, and non-compliant tools were made impossible to use, so I think it is unlikely that the silversmith kept the old hallmark.

According to another source, Margaroli had assigned the mark on 7/6/71 instead of 8/11/1971
On that date could not yet be available the new marks, the drawing of which were published in the official gazette of 17/8/1971, and in all likelihood they were not available in November 1971 either.

Margaroli Carlo went out of businnes before 1995.

Carlo Margaroli was recorded as an importer, rather than a manufacturer, so that likely accounts for the two different '925' marks, one being applied by the actual maker.
