French silver dish? Need help indentifying

Post by mouseinstalled45 »

Hello, I recently picked up this item thrift shopping and I was wondering if anyone can confirm the silversmith, tell me how old it is, is it sterling or coin silver or 800? What was it's intended use? I found a couple of marks on the back that look like possibly a boar but maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me. Thanks!

Thank you very much. I have to find those other two markings! Any idea the silver purity?
