Another id , debate on date and maker
Hello all:
I have another spoon I would like help with. It appears to be Victorian from Newcastle, however, I have showed this to a few people and there is a debate on the date and the maker. What do you guys think?
Someone said 1839, someone else said late 18th C. As for the maker, One said Pierre Lesperance, one said Peter Lambert.
Thank you for looking. You guys have been an amazing help and very supportive. I sincerely appreciate it!!

Not Newcastle at all. It's a relatively early Chester mark with the date letter D for 1842. PL is Patrick Leonard of Salford, Lancashire.

W Newcastle hallmark debate on date and maker
Hello all:
I have a pair of spoons I would like help with. They are from Newcastle, however makers mark is W from 1802(M), I cannot find this makers mark anywhere. 99% certain it is simply a W and not a worn makers mark. Spoons have monogram fancy G and a shell pattern with dot either side at end of handle. Good weight and bigger bowl than a teaspoon. Sorry new to forum and don't seem able to post pics

Re: Another id , debate on date and maker
No, not the drop down menu. The new topic button is straight under Chester Hallmarks.
