German Maker MF after 1886

Post by admin »

Hi,
I've tracked down two possibilities: M. Fadderjahn of Berlin & Max Fleischmann of Pforzheim.
However, neither of their marks matches up exactly. Any help would be appreciated.
Regards, Tom

Hi Tom, that is the mark of Mayer & Fuchs from Pforzheim, used in the 1920ies and early 1930ies. In the late 1930ies they used a ligated "MF" in a more modernistic form. Don't know what happend to them later. Best wishes, Bahner
