Hi, I found this ring yesterday metal detecting and have been trying to ID the Hallmarks.
The area has produced mainly finds from the 1920’s to 1960’s.
Weight 01.70g and inside Diameter is 16.5mm
The first Hallmark is (800) take it that’s the silver content. The second lozenge shaped one is either (.913) or (CL 6.) Interestingly the later could be (CL) for maker and (6) for size as that matches the 16.5mm inside Diameter. I have been told there may be a WW2 connection to the Mountain Gebirgsjager ? Although it looks a little small for a man’s ring, there were POW’s in my town
