Italian Gold registration number

Post by Mariagadadver »

Hello. I bought this ring in Austria. (7.8 gram ca 7.9 gram ) I discovered some gold hallmarks. I would like to know its origin and who made it? Something about hallmarks? I couldn't find anything on the net .I have been struggling to find it for 3 months. I would be grateful for help.(With rectangle and star... (☆ 896 VI ) ? Vincenza Italy ???

I don't know for sure if it's Italian but I can't find anywhere the series with no ☆896 VI OR ☆696 VI I CAN'T SEE THE FIRST DIGIT WELL 😞. It has 3 hallmarks, the one with 585 has a kind of plate underneath if I see correctly? I would appreciate your help

The 585 marks within the truncated lozenge and star/number/city code are certainly Italian, but the third mark does not appear to be.
It is probable that an artefact coming from abroad was put on the market after having been marked with the (Italian) law hallmarks.
If the number is 896 VI, then it belongs to Cunico Vittorio S.n.c.
Via Marosticana 170/G Vicenza; since July 1977
If instead it is 696 VI, then it belongs to
D.E.N. of Flli Nicoletti S.n.c. Via Pascoli 4, Trissino: since December 1972
Best
Amena
P.S. both ceased before 12 31 1995

I found the information in one of the 5 books that are part of the "punzoni dei preziosi italiani" series. These are very difficult books to find, and frankly I would not recommend purchasing them.
Image
They were given to me by a dealer who participated in the editorial process.
Regarding the other question
895 VI is Oreficeria Bettinardi Gastone, via Mameli 162, Vicenza
695 VI Gecchelin Emilio, via Sarego 8, Schio

It doesn’t begin to give you the information that amena has provided, but a starting place for both of the companies in this instance is the uspto.gov site.
