Hello all,
I'm just about to re-edit my book on French hallmarks in English, and I realised members of this forum might be able to help me find the last assay office marks that were used on French hallmarks in the European towns that France occupied during the Napoleonic wars between 1798 and 1815.
There were 58 such towns, and although I have some of these marks, including all of them for Belgium, I don't have them all for Germany.
If anyone can give me confirmed marks for the following towns, I'd appreciate it:
Hamburg
Lubeck
Bremen
Aurich
Osnabruck
Munster 47
Mainz MT then 67
Speyer MT then 67*
Koblenz RM then 84
Aachen LR then 86
Cologne LR then 86*
Trier LS then 90
Also the Swiss assay office marks for
Geneva G ? then 46
Porrentruy 64
Saint Imier 64* then ?
Sion
I've posted a similar message on the board for Dutch assay office marks, of which I have a few.
Thanks
