Austro-Hungarian makers mark help

Post by zeretia »

Trying to find out who the maker of this necklace might be. I can see marks but some appear worn.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Your images are not showing as you seem to have linked to the page on which your pictures appear rather than the pictures themselves. For your image host you must copy the "BBCode" link which they give you. Alternatively you can use https://postimages.org as an image host (after uploading your picture/s click 'Share', then copy and paste the 'Hotlink for forums' code to embed your images).

Not sure, but do I see an animal head, core image of a greyhound ? For small silver items, used Austro- Hungary 1867- 1872, followed by assay office letter A (twice) for Vienna.

Peter,

Looks more like an A with a K right on top to the side. And then the AA
I am familiar withe the greyhound head and this is not that. I wish I could get a clearer image AK but not space between like thr back of the K is the side line of the A
