Hello forum,
My neighbour recently found a few silver items at home including this small salt shaker. It's 5cm tall with a twist base to open and close the body for refilling.
It's stamped Birmingham 1949 with a clear maker's mark "I & D" over "Co". I just can't find out who that is. Can anyone help?
Best Regards,
Ian T

Re: Help with identifying a manufacturer please.
The mark seems to have become a bit distorted - it's actually E&D over Co and is the mark of Ernest Druiff & Co.
The date letter is lower case z for 1924.

Phil,
Thanks for this. Hadn't considered it might be an 'E'.
