Hello. Please help me identify the silversmith, location and date of this shillelagh which has been in the family and no one left alive even remembers which family member owned it.

My investigation of the websites suggests Dublin 1738. Any help woudl be greatly appreciated

Your Dublin hallmark is 1913 and not the similar gothic S of 1738. The maker's mark. HJ, is that of Henry Johnston, an umbrella and stick maker of Dublin, Belfast and Newcastle-on-Tyne.
