Makers mark?

Post by Pelleman »

Hello!

I would be very grateful for help. I wonder if anyone knows what brand the silversmith is? I'm pretty sure it's made in France.

Kind regards
Per

There are over 100 maker's marks to be found with the letters A T and at least five with the motif of a cross. The lower part of the mark is not clear on your object, and thus it's not easy to decide to which maker it should be attributed. Can you post of a photo of the title hallmark ? This can help to determine if the object was hallmarked in Paris or another town.

Thank you very much for the answer. I thought there was an apple between A and T…is that an enlargement of Maker's mark you want me to insert?

It looks like a pear or an eggplant with two leaves.
