Silver Fork, Alkmaar? 18th century.

Post by Vantlicht »

This silver Fork is marked with the citymark of Alkmaar I presume? Below the citymark there is a yearletter and an very difficult to read makersmark.
Later they put a new fork in the handle which is dated in the 19t century.

Curious if you can see the maker of this one....

The fork's silver handle not Alkmaar but Middelburg, so called "kleine keur" castle tower with year letter L conjoined, used 1776-1778
The maker's mark is unknown to me.
The silver fork, year letter a for 1860, maker's mark R3 for Jan Cornelius Roggenkamp, registered in Appingedam 1831-1876
