Who, what where?

Post by jmgbvis »

I have a small sterling butter pat(?) with Hallmarks that look like a gothic font capital B, a four leaf clover with a stem and the monetary symbol for the British pound. It is also marked with the number 7176 and 925/1000 (sterling).

I couldn’t find the mark online any idea where it is from?

My mom bought it in an Antique shop in Southeast Pennsylvania. The rim is
beaded and fluted in a swirl pattern.

No idea how to add a picture or I would 😉

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

Images of marks and the items they are on are essential for questions to be answered properly. You will first have to upload your pictures to an online image hosting site before being able to display them. The following should help you:

https://postimages.org is recommended as an image host (after uploading your picture/s click 'Share', then copy and paste the 'Hotlink for forums' code to embed your images). Do not use Photobucket or Dropbox.

Please ensure that you embed your images rather than posting links and remember to use the 'Preview' button before submitting your post. If your images don't show up there we won't be able to see them either.
