Hello, my apologies if this is in fact plate, or not American... but does anyone know this "S" mark between two triangles? I did a bit of diligence but hadn't had any luck. Thanks!

It's American electroplate by E H H Smith Silver Co of Bridgeport CT. See https://www.925-1000.com/silverplate_S2.html.
