I have a vintage Cartier ring, but the "Cartier" stamp is not full - either it was never full or has worn down over time. The ring is marked 18k gold and tests as such. I've seen bad quality hallmarks on random silver, but I wonder if a top producer like Cartier might actually have more stringent control on how their name is applied. Do people here have thoughts on this?
Many thanks.
