This sterling piece bears the hallmark of John Goode and is dated 1701.
What is this vessel usually called?

These have been refered to as "flagons with chains".

Hi Trev.

Sure does look similar to a moon flask.
However, the book has a different name for it.
Here, in the U.S., the term moon flask generally applies to pottery or porcelain pieces.

My book calls it a "Pilgrims bottle".
However, it does say these are sometimes refered to as flasks.
