Norweigan 830S Souvenir Spoon

Post by bear433 »

I am wondering if anyone knows the maker of this spoon. It is marked 830S and has a W with an upside down T in the middle of the W.It also has the word Saterdalen on the front side. Does anyone know what this means?

Hello,
The spoon is a souvernir spoon with patterns from the diffrent folkcostumes in Norway.
The firm Hval & Kristiansen in Oslo started the production in the middle of 1930. Norsk Sølvvareindustri in Oslo take over and the spoons where produced until 1992 when the firm closed down.
Your spoon is from Norsk Sølvvareindustri.
