These small silver items are part of the Henry Birk's Collection in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
They were made in the 18th and early 19th centuries.
For what purpose were alll these pieces used ?

Yes, these items were used when trading with Native Americans, most often for furs.
Also, silver items were used to promote peace between the settlers and Indians.
Peace medals were given to Indians as gifts for freindly cooperation at treaty signings, etc. Sort of a "Presentaion Silver"
Gorgets, arm and wrist bands were used for both purposes.
