.925 sterling mark

Post by rainbowrev »

Hi folks

I posted to the photo shy British silver topic but have another piece of silver I think is American and I hope this is the right thread for this question

I have a tiny spoon, I think it is a salt spoon.

It has a cursive S then a lion on 3 paws with the fourth up and bent facing west, a letter K , .925, and sterling.

I have no clue on this at all, but is it only American silver that was stamped .925 sterling?

I would love to include a picture but every time I try and do a close up with my camera it is to blurry an image. So any input on how to best capture an image of the silver marks would be greatly appreciated as well.

Warm regards, Deb
