Swedish hallmark info w/ pic

Post by jebber »

You gotta love the internet! I recently purchased a Swede Mauser with this disc in the buttstock. Thanx to this fine site I've figured out it's Swedish & the date - can anyone 'cipher the maker or town mark?

If it matters, the monogram is the Mauser Company trademark from late 1800's to early 1900's.

Thanx in advance for any info!

The maker is Fritz Olsson in the town of Luleå in the north of Sweden. He is registered 1917- 1957, and V7 is of course 1923.

You're very welcome. Next time, you won't need me, since webmaster Tom has added the link to the searchable database for Swedish maker's marks to the Swedish section. It's great -and in English!
