I think this last name ends nfield. The spoon is 3 1/2" long with the bowl turned 90 degrees. Is it a baby or medicine spoon? Is the soft mark to the right residual from the coin? Thanks

Though the exact stamp is not identified in Ensko IV, I believe your maker's mark is that of Canfield and Brother (Ira C. and William B.) of Baltimore, Maryland, after 1830. The mystery to the right is 10.15, an assay mark peculiar to Baltimore at that time. It is a salt spoon, used to dip salt from a master salt cellar.
