I would appreciate help with marks on "salt"

I would apprecitae help identifying the makers of a litle salt I own.
It is very small and hard to show the stamps so I will reproduce them here.
The maker is JH. The next is and anchor which I think is Birmingham
The next is a lion which I think means pure silver
and the last is a small "a" with, I think, two dots underneath.[

lt is difficult to make out the marks on the salt, from what you say l would imagine it to be 1900, which would tie in with the maker John Hines (1899-06) but l cannot be certain

Hi Nigel, Many thanks for your response to my question. I shall follow up. I have tried the Birmingham History archives to no avail. I must go out and buy a book about Silversmiths. I have just started collecting as a retirement hobby!
