If anyone can help me identify the makers mark, it would be appreciated.

Typical austrian pattern - violine.
A for Vienna and 1846 for year. Sorry for maker - I dont know.

Hello, enlargement shows that the date actually reads as 1866. Maker is Thomas Scheidl, active in Vienna ca. 1844 to 1879. Best wishes, Bahner
