Identify silver mark - 'D & K STG SIL' on toast rack

Post by laughinglizard »

Hello from Oz, Wonder if anyone could identify the mark on this silver toast rack (one of a pair). It is stamped 'D & K - STG SIL' - there is no other mark.
They are very well made - I was hoping they might be Australian:)
Many thanks for any help, Kind regards, Shirley

Hello.
Checked my reference on Australian silver, but could not find your D&K mark.
However, I do believe your toast rack is Australian.
As far as I know, Australia is the only country to use the abreviations STG and SIL on sterling wares.
