Wine Tasters / Tastevin with Cockeral's Head Mark?

I have a set of wine tasters with marks on them that i have been unable to identify. The first mark is a 1 at the bottom left and a G in the top right within a square. The second is a cockerals head facing right with the letters DFE above right within a square. The E is underlined and smaller than the other letters. There looks to be another letter next to the E but i am unable to make this out. They are 4.5cm in diameter. I was told they were silver but i'm not sure.

Hi Louise,
This tastevin is French silverplate. French silver maker's marks are (from c.1810 onward) framed in a diamond shaped cartouche and would, of course, be accompanied by recognizable silver standard & guarantee marks. French silverplater's trademarks are framed within a rectangle and are sometimes accompanied by another rectangular mark indicating plate thickness, 1G in this case. I don't know the maker's mark, but the second 2 letters are the abbreviation for Freres - Brothers in English.

Sorry, don't have a clue as to the grading system. Hopefully, someone else can enlighten us.
