As long as I'm asking about odd single marks, who knows anything about a seated griffin in profile mark?
I call this pattern "BAVARIAN" for personal reasons, as an aide memoire, but it is American coin. It is similar to an unknown Duhme pattern below and others of the same era (ca. 1870's).
"BAVARIAN" is the only pattern I have seen that carries the griffin sejant mark. If others have more examples, I hope they will post pictures.
