Unidentified French Cutlery

Post by silverfan »

See below one piece of a set of French cutlery (big size), spoons and forks (still looking for the matching knives) marked with Minerva 1 (Paris ?), French export mark, maker's mark (letters T & H with a star below and a flower above in a lozenge) and a counterstamp to the Minerva (see Photo 4).
The maker's mark was already posted by Granmaa on Sept 17, 2006 (last post June 13, 2007) without final answer.
I would like to know the maker, the pattern and if possible the approx date of production. Perhaps somebody - looking on the counterstamp - can find out where it was assayed.
Thanks in advance, silverfan

Hello Margaux,
Thank you very much for your quick answer. So the company T & H only produced from 1861-1865 ?
