I recently found this lovely and very worn russian snuffbox. The size is 7,8 x 4,8 x 1,8 cm, weight 110 gr. As far as I found out its Moscou 1860 (poor reading). Please help with assayer aund maker...

I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like the maker's mark of Ivan Futikin overstriking that of another. As the date appears to be 1860 and my reference gives the working dates for Futikin as 1863-1897, perhaps he was also a retailer who acquired it secondhand?
The letters for Avdeyev can very faintly be read! Thanks Pat! But it can't be Futikin, because the first letter is not the cyrillic "I", but H for the cyrillic "N" and thats very clear in the photo. So, who is "NF" ?

Hi Trev, hi Pat thank you very much for your help - I think there is no further identification possible... Your observation that the mark of the original maker is overstruck is clearly visible - but overstruck after more than 20 years (in case it's Fyeofilov), does it make sense?
