Unknown maker initials G.H. on the silver carving set

Post by Lilia »

I have an old carving set (Knife and Fork) marked with German hallmarks of a Moon, Crown, silver content 800, and unknown to me marks of the maker initials: G. H.
I could not find any matching hall marks, the closest one is Gustav Hauber, but the signature mark is different than G. H.
Can you help me identify the maker?

Hello, the pattern appears with different maker's marks (Schultz from Berlin, Sandig from Liegnitz) and I have been unable to nail down the real maker. I believe that G.H. is the (undocumented) retailer rather than a maker. Best wishes, Bahner
