About 15 Years ago, we acquired this miniature tumbler in France, near Paris.
The owner of the Antique Shop did not know much about this piece. He mentioned, that to the best of his knowledge ,the miniature tumbler belonged to a German Officer during the WWII
A couple years ago, we started some research - unfortunately without any results.
The tumbler is silver and has a Hallmark on the bottom, that we can not identify.
It is also engraved on two sides which is also not identifiable.
We would appreciate any information that any of you may have.
Thank you!

Hello Mac-
From one Mac to another, I am sure this is not anything that you did not already know. The crescent moon and crown is German and it is 835/1000 silver. I cannot make out the makers or city mark, have you looked here to try and find a match?

Hello, looks like the badly punched mark of Lutz & Weiss. Check here
http://www.925-1000.com/Fgerman_marks_a1884_3.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
under L. & W. The inscription reads "Weihnachten 1940" (christmas 1940) and a name (looks like "Schmundt"). Best wishes, Bahner
