I have a spoon with beautiful enamel work. The side of the spoon has a hallmark which I have a hard time identifying with letters, G.A.S.
Are this marks for Gustav Adolf Sallstrom? Is this Danish Spoon and How old?
Thank you for your reply. I had a feeling Gustav Sallstrom did not make sence because of the dates. What about that other mark, do you know anything about it? It does not look like any of the Austrian marks.
Hi,
That is the small standard mark for 800 silver used 1886 to 1922, it is a head of a dog, I've always thought of it as a greyhound. Numeral is "3" and the letter should be "A" for Vienna.
