Old bookmark PP Co - can anyone identify the maker?

Post by bookworm »

Sorry! I am new to this and have just been (very nicely!) reminded only 1 post per thread so here is yet another old bookmark made by PP Co - does anyone have any idea who this maker was? It was made in 1887, confirmed by Christmas inscription and n date mark, in Birmingham

Payton, Pepper & Co., who registered their mark in Birmingham in 1882; they became Payton, Pepper & Sons in 1898. They had offices in Birmingham, London and Chester.
