It looks like an ashtry it is about 6 1/2 inches across but does not have indents for cigs to sit in. It has markings on the top rim, not on the bottom as usuall. I have searched the site and not found anything, so I am asking all you forum friends for help.
The markings are , the 1st one is intials R,G in an open book shading behind. 2nd is the lion with head facing forward, black background in rectangular box. 3rd is a large cats head with big whiskers on a black background in a rectangular box, 4th is a rectangle with an s with a shaded black background.
Very sorry not to have a pic, but my new camera is not good enough for close ups of markings.
