Do someone know what these silver marks mean? What country, age? Please advise.

Hi,

They are London import marks, I can't make out the date mark. Can you get a clearer shot?

Thank you Trev.

This is the best I can do. It is for sure after 1906, but I cannnot recognize the mark for the date. It is rather similar to a 'g'. To be sure I need to use a microscope which I do not have :(

A magnifying glas is not enough.

I would have thought it will be around the 1970/80's period.

Are there any other marks that might indicate the country of manufacture?

My Mom has a number of similar swan salts in her collection, this particular design usually has a 5-petalled flower on one wing and a rose on the other, they originally came with a matching rose design spoon. Find them most often marked with a simple "835", but they do also appear with the mark of German maker Albert Bodemer (ALBO), and have also seen them in silverplate. The dating would be from around the 1960s, give or take a few years either direction, and the color of the glass base would also fit right into that era. Suspect your date mark is the 1962 "g".
