100 Silver plate?? Cannot identify hallmark

Post by freckle43 »

I have 5 fiddle tipped 8 1/4" long dinner forks and am unable to identify the hallmark. I also am unsure what the 100 in a circle means on the back of the fork. First I thought it looked like an M with a wavy line at the top but I also thought it might be 2 figures one with an arm up and one with an arm downward. Hours of searching have not helped me identify the maker or if it is silver plate or sterling[/img]

They are by J.A. Henckels, they were founded over 260 years ago in Solingen Germany and are still going strong, great cutlery makers. The two little men is their trademark. The hundred is a mark about the thickness of the silver plating, seen them as low as 60 and as high as your 100, but don't really know what the measurement unit is. That's all
