I have pair of 1775 dated silver tea-tongs / sugar nips which have a 'HH within a heart' mark. I am reliably informed that, stylistically, these are likely to be of Scandinavian origin and am seeking help in identifying the maker. Any suggestions?
Tom.

Nothing among danish silversmiths. But there is a norwegian mark that has a sertain similarity - though no exact match. But similar mark for Hannibal Holm in Larvik he was born 1739 and living in Larvik before 1773. in 1789 no business registret for him and in 1800 on the 7th of June he dies.
city mark if any should be an L
