Can someone tell me what this fork was made for?

Post by Alain »

Hi,
Can someone tell me what this fork was made for?
It belongs to a family member in Paris, France. But somehow with this set of Hallmarks, i don't think it's French. If someone could tell me the maker, that would be a bonus!
Thank you,
Alain

Hi Alain,

It's a pickle fork. The maker is Henry Hobson & Sons of Sheffield.

Hello Trev,

Thanks for the information!

I have a pair of sugar tongs from 1898 by this maker but here i can't see
the crown and lion.

Am i right to think this is plated?

Reg.

Hi Alain,

The pickle fork is silver plated.
