Unknown sterling pattern tablespoons

Post by paxton »

Hello,

STERLING with an asterisk above. No maker's marks. "H" for my Hunter family around 1870's? Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. Image

It would be great if you would add an image of the *Sterling.
Thanks, Tom

Hi Catherine,
Thanks for adding the photos. I believe the "asterisk" is likely to be the maker's trademark, unfortunately, the images are far too blurry to make heads or tails of it. Perhaps your description of it will trigger someone's memory and it will eventually be identified.
Regards, Tom
