Maker of Birmingham cup 1913 - Peter Pan?

Post by Rick »

I have purchased a children's cup marked Birmingham 1913. I am unfamiliar with the maker mark, which is "L&S"

I would be very grateful to the person who will tell me the maker and/or firm who/which made this cup. A band of embossed figures around the rim appear to be from the story of Peter Pan. It also has a registration number, being Rd618554.

Thank you very much for your kind assistance.

Thank you very much, Neruda.... I will now be able to try and find some history of this firm, and this very sweet little cup!

The original Peter Pan story was a play, published by JM Barrie in 1904, so the timing seems to be appropriate with the date of your piece.
