German marks?

Post by clown123 »

Any help appreciated with identifying anything on this box. I suspect that it's German.

Thanks.

Hello.

Those look like Swedish marks to me.

H4 would be the date mark for 1838.
The mark to the left of the date mark is the town mark. Possibly Sundsvall.

Pat.

Thanks. I have never seen Swedish silver previously. Is there any source of maker's names anywhere?
