Hello and welcome.
Your piece is sterling silver (.925 fineness ).
The D mark was used by William B. Durgin. Check here:
http://www.925-1000.com/americansilver_D.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
46 is the catalog or pattern number.
34 is actually 3/4 which means 3/4 pint capacity of the piece.
E. Hertzberg Jewelry Co. was the retailer of the item.
Pat.

The Eli Hertzberg jewelry store in San Antonio, Texas may be of interest to some. The Hertzberg business existed as an independent for just over one hundred years. If I'd looked at this post before going into San Antonio today, the Hertzberg Clock at the corner of St Mary's and Houston Street would have been high on the list of things to do in town.
