I am sorry the pictures are not better, but if anyone could give me an idea of what this little salt pots story is I would really appreciate it. Just in case you can not make out the marks I will describe them.
They are as follows (this pot is so small I hope I am giving the correct information)
SN (a crown is directly above the S) next to that the letters GR in the box (I am pretty sure the GR is correct, I may be wrong)
I have also taken a close up of the design just in case that helps.
The dimensions are 3 1/8 x 1 3/4 x 1 1/2" tall
I really appreciate your help. It's great to be able to go to a place where people just generally care.
Thank you,
Sharon

Silver Salt Pot & That's all I know, can you help?
Hi and welcome to the forum Sharon,
The salt cellar could be made by Georg Roth & Co in Hanau, Germany 1891- ca 1919 or by Neresheimer & Söhne founded in 1893 in the same town.
Have a look at this page...

The marks of your salt cellar are pseudo-marks. The crowned S resembles the French marks of the 18th century and want us to believe that this is a genuine French rococo piece. N-marks on this type of silver points us in the direction to the well known Hanau. GR would be Georg Roth.
So in my opinion we are facing a crossover between the two companies.
Hope this helps,
Best regards/JAKJO
