Help with a salt celler & spoon - better pictures this t

Post by riteway »

I am sorry the pictures are not better, in case you can not make out the marks I will describe them.

They are as follows (this pot is so small I hope I am giving the correct information)

SN (a crown is directly above the S) next to that the letters GR in the box (I am pretty sure the GR is correct, I may be wrong)

I have also taken a close up of the design just in case that helps.
The dimensions are 3 1/8 x 1 3/4 x 1 1/2" tall

I am re-posting this because my pictures were too large.

I did get a response that it maybe from the Hanau era.

If I could get a little more info. we are just getting into silver collecting and it's history. If someone knew how old this item is and if it definitely a reproduction. (admin edit - see Posting Requirements--do not post again without reviewing them ). I am finding that the different web sites on silver all seem to have different opinions on a lot of things.

(admin edit - see Posting Requirements--Only One Item Per Topic )

Thank you,
Sharon

Hi Sharon, welcome to the forums. Sure that someone will be along at some point to give you some information on the first piece. There should only be one item per post, if you will repost the spoon to the American forum, preferably with a picture of the mark, I can help you with it.
