Hello. There was a Charles N. Swift & Company located in New York City during the beginning of the 20th century.
Wonder if this is an early mark of the firm, not sure.

If by chance this spoon is still around and of course even if it is not, there is a Charles Swift who was listed as a watchmaker in Gardiner, Maine in 1850.

Charles is listed under the heading of watches and jewelry 1853 and fancy goods in 1855 in Gardiner, Maine Directories.

In 1860 he is listed as a jewelry box manufacturer, and at least until 1880 it appears he was a small box manufacturer.
