It is about a pair of forks I bought. I didn't find a convincing mark for them.

Clarfeld & Springmeyer, Hemer, Westphalia, Germany product range in cutlery was available in both materials: Silver alloy and Plated. In this case, the forks are plated.


The pattern, is an interpretation of the leaves and fruits of the Ginkgo trees (Ginkgo biloba); it’s a »Werksentwurf« (Factory design); time range: 1900 to 1910.


Clarfeld & Springmeier’s Trade Mark, I baptized «Ankermänner-Marke» (Anchor men mark); this mark is very often confused by imprecise antique dealers by «Gemini» mark of «J.A. Henckels Zwillingswerk» in Solingen.
