Any way to date these?

Post by Shinystuff »

The shakers bear the Webster Co. mark. Is there any way to date these pieces, even the time period, from the mark. There are no other marks available.

I can give a semi-un-educated guess as to the period from 1890's to 1930's. I have seen some very similar in style over in the U.K. while living there, and for the most part yours look to be Late Victorian to me...

On January 1, 1950 it become a subsidiary of Reed & Barton of Taunton, Massachussets. In October 1958 they purchased the Frank W.
