Is this Harrison Brothers & Howson ????
This looks like it may be, but can anyone verify this. If it is HB&H, does this hallmark point to a date? A contact mentioned that this may be a pseudo-hallmark, and not HB&H. Any help or advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
p.s. Although this is electroplate, can it still be silverplate?

Hello.
Yes, those are silverplate pseudo marks used by Harrison Brothers & Howson.
The use of a crown in a cartouche on British silverplate was banned about 1897.
This mark dates to between 1862 and 1897.
They were known as Harrison Brothers from 1849 -1861.

Thanks for the helpful information. I have seen many hallmarks for HBH, but no others quite like this one. Thanks.
