For a change, I know about my Jensen...

Post by karinagw »

....piece to an extent. I know it's a Georg Jensen rope pattern sterling (waste?) bowl. But, I can find no other piece like it mentioned anywhere after googling (I confess I gave up after 22 search pages and 14 image pages)

From an inscription on the bottom, it was given from someone named Suds to someone else named Mike in 1933.

It is 1.75" tall and just about 5" wide.

In the center of the bottom is the crowned Georg Jensen hallmark on the left. The number 290 in the middle. And, on the right a dotted oval with G1, 925, and S inside it. Above the 290, it says STERLING and below, DENMARK. Pictures are below.

If anyone can tell me any more about this, I would deeply appreciate it.
